Top 3 African Countries Leading the Financial Literacy Campaign!

The journey toward a financially literate Africa continues to gain momentum and the changemakers behind this movement are unstoppable!
As part of KAFI AFRICA’s 30 Days Kick Against Financial Illiteracy Campaign, we’ve witnessed inspiring passion, creativity, and collaboration from across the continent.

After a month of intense advocacy, community mobilization, and impactful storytelling, we’re excited to celebrate the Top 3 African countries leading this year’s financial literacy campaign!

🥇 1st Place – Nigeria 🇳🇬

Nigeria takes the lead as the number one country driving the financial literacy revolution in Africa!

From the very beginning of the campaign, Nigerian changemakers showed what it means to lead with purpose. Across campuses, communities, and online spaces, young advocates and financial literacy trainers raised their voices  teaching, inspiring, and empowering others to take control of their financial lives.

The Nigerian team demonstrated consistency, teamwork, and innovation in spreading awareness about savings, budgeting, entrepreneurship, and smart money habits. Through creative storytelling, workshops, and media engagement, they brought financial literacy to life in relatable ways that connected deeply with young people.

Their drive and unity reflect KAFI AFRICA’s vision of an Africa where financial literacy is a lifestyle, not a luxury.

To Team Nigeria, your leadership and impact have set the bar high for financial literacy advocacy. Congratulations on this well-deserved victory!

🥈 2nd Place – Malawi 🇲🇼

In second place, we proudly celebrate Malawi, a country that continues to shine as a beacon of youth-led transformation in financial education.

Malawian participants approached this campaign with unmatched energy and purpose, showing that small actions when done consistently lead to big change. From local financial awareness sessions to creative online challenges, Team Malawi mobilized communities, empowered students, and encouraged individuals to develop better money management habits.

Their innovative efforts not only raised awareness but also sparked meaningful conversations about financial inclusion, especially among young people and women.

Malawi’s commitment to building financially informed citizens is proof that Africa’s future is in capable hands. The changemakers in this team exemplify resilience, focus, and a strong belief that financial literacy is the foundation for freedom.

Well done, Team Malawi your light continues to inspire!

🥉 3rd Place – Cameroon 🇨🇲

In third place, we celebrate Cameroon, a nation whose passion and creativity left a lasting mark throughout the campaign.

Cameroonian changemakers embraced the 30-day challenge with enthusiasm, organizing interactive discussions, awareness drives, and digital campaigns that made financial education both fun and accessible.

Their ability to simplify complex financial topics: like saving, investing, and debt management made them stand out. Through teamwork and leadership, they reminded Africa that financial empowerment begins with awareness.

Cameroon’s dedication to youth engagement and their unique storytelling approach made the campaign richer, more inclusive, and impactful. Congratulations, Team Cameroon your consistency and commitment have inspired many to take charge of their financial future!
