The Gift of Financial Literacy

KAFI Eco-Friendly Financial Literacy Initiative

Every Child Deserves the Gift of Financial Literacy

KAFI Initiative

KAFI Foundation is proud to launch an initiative empowering 1,000 children through eco-friendly saving boxes and the "Monkeys and Ropes" educational board game.

Financial literacy remains largely absent from many educational experiences across Africa. While children are taught mathematics and science, very few learn how to manage money, budget, or save consistently. KAFI Foundation believes this education must begin in childhood, where lifelong values are formed.

Eco-Friendly Saving

1,000 sustainable saving boxes to cultivate the habit of consistent, responsible saving from an early age.

Monkeys and Ropes

An interactive board game that turns financial decisions into a 100-day journey of real-world learning.

A Practical Approach to Learning

Through the Monkeys and Ropes board game, children experience consequences and celebrate achievements in a way traditional methods cannot match. Positive choices like saving or helping others allow players to move forward, while impulse buying or lack of planning causes them to move back.

"Financial literacy is a gift that every child deserves. When children understand how money works from an early age, they grow into adults who make informed decisions and create opportunities for themselves."

— Theresa Chibogu, Founder of KAFI Foundation
