YALI Network Lagos | Business Clinic 8 Week Accelerator 2026
For many entrepreneurs, having a great business idea is only the beginning.
The real challenge begins when the business has to manage money, determine the right price, attract customers, understand its market and build systems that support sustainable growth.
That is exactly what the YALI Network Lagos Business Clinic 8 Week Accelerator 2026 will address during Week 3: Finance, Markets & Storytelling.
On Friday, November 6, 2026, participants will join a highly practical session led by Theresa Chibogu, Founder of KAFI Foundation and Systems Specialist at KAFI HQ, as she facilitates Session 5: “Money & Markets: Financial Management and Marketing for Business Growth.”
From Making Sales to Building a Sustainable Business
A business can generate revenue and still struggle financially.
It can have customers and still lack profitability.
It can have a strong product and still fail to reach the right market.
The difference often comes down to how well the entrepreneur understands the relationship between money, markets and customers.
This session is designed to help participants move beyond simply running a business and begin thinking strategically about the financial and market systems that drive business growth.
What Participants Will Learn
During the one hour virtual session, participants will explore:
Financial Management Fundamentals
Understanding how to manage business finances, create realistic budgets and monitor cash flow so that business owners can make better financial decisions.
Pricing, Profitability and Financial Record Keeping
How should an entrepreneur price a product or service?
What does profitability really mean?
And why does proper financial record keeping matter?
Participants will gain practical perspectives on these critical areas of business finance.
Understanding Target Markets
A great product is not automatically a great business.
Entrepreneurs need to understand who their customers are, what they need, what influences their purchasing decisions and where they can be reached.
Branding, Customer Acquisition and Digital Marketing
Building a business requires more than visibility.
Participants will explore how branding, customer acquisition and digital marketing can work together to attract the right customers and create meaningful business growth.
Customer Retention
Getting a customer is one thing.
Keeping that customer is another.
The session will also examine the importance of customer retention and building relationships that encourage customers to return, engage and grow with the business.

Why This Session Matters
For emerging entrepreneurs, financial knowledge is not an optional business skill.
It is part of the foundation.
Knowing your numbers can help you make better decisions.
Understanding your market can help you find the right customers.
Knowing your customers can help you build stronger products and services.
And understanding the connection between finance and marketing can help transform business activity into sustainable growth.
This session is therefore designed not just to teach concepts, but to encourage participants to look differently at the businesses they are building.
Money tells you what is happening inside your business.
The market tells you where the opportunity is.
Your customers determine whether the opportunity can become sustainable.
